TALK

Change minds and hearts by helping the Pro-Life Generation reach our goal of having 250,000 conversations about abortion this year! Plus, earn Amazon dollars “to treat yourself” and win cool prizes for your Students for Life group!

Why this? Why now?

While our Regional Coordinators were out on campuses last year, we saw a 50% rate of minds changed about abortion. If the same holds true for the TALK Campaign, we will see 125,000 people become more pro-life.

The Pro-Life Generation has never been closer to abolishing abortion, major elections are on the horizon, and Planned Parenthood is in a frenzy, spending millions to target you and your friends. We have to be equipped, work together, and be ready to TALK about LIFE!

During the Spring 2020 semester, Students for Life groups in every region across America are competing to have the most conversations. The prize? A choice between a scholarship to bring a national pro-life speaker (like Lila Rose, Josh Brahm, Dr. Alveda King, David Daleiden, Kristan Hawkins, or Ryan Bomberger) to their campus OR a trip for three to the March for Life and National Pro-Life Youth Summit in 2021.

How can you participate?

1) Pledge

First, let us know how many conversations you think you’ll have this school year. When you pledge, we will keep in touch about training opportunities and how you can have the most effective conversations.

2) Learn

Here are some places you can go to learn all things pro-life for your conversations:

Explore this website! Students for Life HQ can help you learn how to have an effective pro-life group.
Our social media pages: Instagram, Facebook, and Twitter.
We have a lot of great informative videos on YouTube.
Kristan Hawkins, president of SFLA, even has her own podcast!

3) Go!

Start having conversations with your peers! If you need a fun way to get these conversations going, reach out to your SFLA Regional Coordinator who can visit your school with a tabletop display. Contact [email protected] to find out who your Regional Coordinator is, if you don’t know already.

4) Log!

Let us know how many conversations you’re having. You can also use this as an opportunity to tell us how it went! We’d love to know what everyone is talking about and how you’re changing minds. If you come across a challenging topic, we’d love to help get answers to you.

What’s in it for you?

On top of the satisfaction of doing lifesaving work, we have something else for individual participants… PRIZE MONEY! For every 50 conversations you log, we’ll send you a $10 Amazon Electronic Gift Card to your email.

Frequently Asked Questions

A conversation is when you engage with someone of a differing opinion. It does not have to be a long conversation, but at least a two-way dialogue where some content is explained, and the other person has time to respond and engage. The purpose of a conversation is to change someone's mind.

Students and members of Pro-Life Future Chapters are welcome to participate.

Your school should be a priority, but the location doesn't matter.

You can talk to anyone, but peers at school should be a priority. The person you speak with needs to have a differing opinion from you on an abortion-related topic. This could mean speaking with a pro-life student who doesn’t fully align with all pro-life beliefs, like being okay with abortions in the case of fetal abnormalities, or funding Planned Parenthood.

The more conversations you have and log, the more you win! An SFLA staff member will reach out to you to verify your conversations and then send an Amazon gift card via email. If you’ve reached a 50 conversations milestone (i.e. 50, 100, 150 etc), but have not received an email one week after submission, email [email protected] to inquire.

As much or as little as you’d like. You can do this daily, monthly, or any time in between. Whatever is best for you.

Some of them, yes! You can backlog any conversation that took place after August 1st, 2019.

June 30th, 2020 (but try not to procrastinate)!

Great! I’m sure they’d love to help. Email [yourstate]@studentsforlife.org (i.e. [email protected]) or call 540-834-4600 and let us know what state you live in.
