TALK

250,000 Conversations for a Post-Roe America

TALK

Welcome to Students for Life of America’s TALK Campaign. Together, we are going to have 250,000 pro-life conversations this school year!

Why this? Why now?

While our Regional Coordinators were out on campuses last year, we saw a 50% rate of minds changed about abortion. If the same holds true for the TALK Campaign, we will see 125,000 people become more pro-life.

The Pro-Life Generation has never been closer to abolishing abortion, major elections are on the horizon, and Planned Parenthood is in a frenzy, spending millions to target you and your friends. We have to be equipped, work together, and be ready to TALK about LIFE!

To kick off the TALK Campaign, we are starting a fall race to record conversations. The first five students to have 200 conversations, and the first group to reach 1,000, will receive free VIP tickets to the National Pro-Life Summit* in January, as well as behind-the-scenes meetings and events, including an exclusive meeting with former NFL player Matt Birk and lunch meet and greet with Charlotte Pence!!

*Two tickets will be rewarded to each individual and five tickets for the group.

How can you participate?

1) Pledge

First, let us know how many conversations you think you’ll have this school year. When you pledge, we will keep in touch about training opportunities and how you can have the most effective conversations.

2) Learn

Here are some places you can go to learn all things pro-life for your conversations:

Explore this website! Students for Life Headquarters can help you learn how to have an effective pro-life group.
Our social media pages: Instagram, Facebook, and Twitter.
We have a lot of great informative videos on YouTube.
Kristan Hawkins, president of SFLA, even has her own podcast!

3) Go!

Start having conversations with your peers! If you need a fun way to get these conversations going, reach out to your SFLA Regional Coordinator who can visit your school with a tabletop display. Contact [email protected] to find out who your Regional Coordinator is, if you don’t know already.

4) Log!

Let us know how many conversations you’re having. You can also use this as an opportunity to tell us how it went! We’d love to know what everyone is talking about and how you’re changing minds. If you come across a challenging topic, we’d love to help get answers to you.

What’s in it for you?

On top of the satisfaction of doing lifesaving work, we have something else for you... PRIZES! These are specifically chosen to help spark further dialogue.

Frequently Asked Questions

A conversation is when you engage with someone of a differing opinion. It does not have to be a long conversation, but at least a two-way dialogue where some content is explained, and the other person has time to respond and engage. The purpose of a conversation is to change someone's mind.

Students and members of Pro-Life Future Chapters are welcome to participate.

Your school should be a priority, but the location doesn't matter.

You can talk to anyone, but peers at school should be a priority. The person you speak with needs to have a differing opinion from you on an abortion-related topic. This could mean speaking with a pro-life student who doesn’t fully align with all pro-life beliefs, like being okay with abortions in the case of fetal abnormalities, or funding Planned Parenthood.

The more conversations you have and log, the more prizes you will win! An SFLA staff member will reach out to you via email to congratulate you when you have reached a milestone. They will ask for your address for prizes that need to be shipped and may want to know more about your events. If you’ve reached a milestone, but have not received an email one week after submission, email [email protected]to inquire.

As much or as little as you’d like. You can do this daily, monthly, or any time in between. Whatever is best for you.

Some of them, yes! You can backlog any conversation that took place after August 1st, 2019.

June 30th, 2020 (but try not to procrastinate)!

Great! I’m sure they’d love to help. Email [email protected] or call 540-834-4600 and let us know what state you live in.
